Fox had another 3 point game last night. He has yet to be held pointless in a game this season (and only has two 1-point games). He now has 20 points (5G/15A) in 9 games played.
His 2.22 points per game average leads the entire NCAA by a wide margin (second place has 1.69 P/G).
Only one player has averaged 2 points per game over the course of a full season in the NCAA in the last 20 years (you might have heard of him, he wore #13 for Boston College a few years ago).
In the last 40 years, only one defenceman has averaged 2 points per game over a full season in the NCAA (Wayne Gagné at Western Michigan in 1986-87).
Obviously, there's still a lot of hockey to be played this season, but if he can keep up this pace, you'd have to think he'll be getting Hobey Baker consideration, and it's hard to imagine him going back for his senior year.
