I'm sorry? Kapanen plays in the Pacific now? Atlantic is arguably the best division in hockey. As of right now the third best team in the entire NHL wouldn't get home ice advantage in the first round because the Leafs and Lightning are Top 2.
The 4th place team would be two points ahead of the Flames for first in the Pacific.
The fifth place team would be two points back of second in the Pacific with a game in hand.
