They talk about trading Hall and Eberle, and now the team has no depth. Chia took over the team after leaving Boston in cap hell and knowing he was getting McDavid, and managed to make the Oilers worse despite having the best player in hockey. They say it is a disservice to hockey fans to have McDavid with that franchise. They state that the Oilers are the best team in the league when McDavid is on the ice, but the worst team in the league when he isn't.
I do agree that it is tragic that some of the best prospects in recent years have been ruined by the Oilers. Not that McDavid isn't doing fine, but he could be doing much better somewhere else. So much marketability is going down the drain as he languishes in Edmonton.
