I think Tkachuk’s on ice and off ice leadership skills over come the “greasy” parts to his game. You can just tell on the ice that this is his team, he’s always the first to come in to protect teammates and just always seems to have the right attitude on the ice, no matter if it’s a close game or not. He comes up with clutch goals and plays time and time again as well. Not saying Monahan doesn’t as well, I just see Tkachuk making this his team this year. Like Burke said yesterday, when he talks to Tkachuk it’s like talking with Giordano, and Tkachuk is 20.
