I dont know how old your kids are, but I think knowing about this stuff is really important. Its out there, they should be informed at least.
Otherwise they'll turn 18 and run off with some Star-Cult trying to catch a ride on a comet to Betelgeuse by drinking actual 'Comet Kool-Aid.' As in the cleaning solvent.
