My point was about the impact of his salary (and, yes, Toews as well - I just mentioned Kane because he was referred to before). So the signing date wasn't the factor, the cap hit when it happened was. And, yeah, they paid Seabrook way too much. And gave Keith ridiculous term.
They had to lose a lot of the supporting cast and got scared when Teravainen caught fire. And I find the Panarin/Saad situation weird.
