I just got done watching the WWE Chronicle on Dean Ambrose. To me, this is a really well done introspective of Dean Ambrose.

It covers his return from his injury and infection to his arm that almost killed him, to Roman Reigns announcement to his betrayal of Seth Rollins. Wrapping up in the desert about a week ago.

The first half was excellent as you see Dean struggling to work his way back, the second half was fascinating because to me he was completely in Kayfabe about his rejection of the shield and his contempt for the fans who he gave up his body for.

To me this was almost like watching the Brian Pillman loose Cannon character. For those who don't remember, Brian Pillman reinvented himself as a madman after reading a book called the Big Con. He decided to con the fans, the wrestlers, and pulled off one of the greatest cons of all time when he convinced Eric Bischop to release him from his WCW story line for the sake of story realism and promptly signed with the WWE.

This has the same kind of feel as Dean tries to con the fans with the realism of his break up and beat down of Seth Rollins.

There's no doubt that Dean is smart and creative and he's put a lot of thought into this special to the point of letting loose on the camera man.

Its designed not so much as a stand alone special as a companion piece to his feud with Rollins and breakup of the Shield.

Definitely a must watch.
