Funny you mention that. I had just finished watching an awesome Mountain Bike film where they went to the back country in the Yukon. Then watched Black Panther, and had to pause at the waterfall and ask why they use such fake looking crap when our really world has so many amazing beautiful places. They could have filmed at a real location, even a composite shot would have brought more wow than the CGI waterfall. I think it looks cheap and tacky.
Now, obviously Aquaman can't do that but CGI is really overused, and it makes them all incredibly bland. Wolverine kept most of it natural, and it felt like being in a real place when they were in the woods/mountains.
