I read a few of your posts on here, where you miss the point is that is its about winning the game, not the fight.
If you get the other team to think its about beating up the opponent, in most cases that other team loses. They get pissed off and lose complete sight of the game. This is what happened to the Oilers on Saturday. For years the Habs would beat the old Bruins because they would get the Bruins thinking about killing the Habs instead of winning the game. Even 4-5 years ago I remember Dale Wiese and Subban trolling Lucic and getting them off their game completely.
Not to say that the Flames may want a spare goon on the forth line(if they have no one better) for the next time they play, but the Oilers lost sight of the goal and got too wrapped up in the sideshow and lost the game. It even pissed off the Oilers reporters...The Flames do not need to beat up Kassian and Lucic, they need to defeat Connor McDavid.
