It's not stupid, it's correct.
The team is right to try and get him out of this slump. Best case scenario, he starts playing better, Rittich continues to play well and we roll with 2 good goalies through the season.
Having said that, there's a line they have to draw and this may be that point.
Giving up on him too soon is a bad move, waiting too long is also a bad move.
