Good natured joking aside, I really hope that Calgary (and our City Council) sets a higher standard of disclosure and demands better from such processes in the future, regardless of the vote result.

If the Vote goes "Yes" or if the vote goes "No" and they still continue to look at the bid or have a look back process, I hope Council realizes how ridiculous it was to have such a mess of a budget, miscommunicated plans, obvious false financial claims, insurance that does not exist, even goddamn bots stacking votes on their survey site.

"Yes" or "No", I think we can demand better from our representatives in the government and of our city. I also agree that the process has been divisive, we can do better than this. We can take the time to put together a good, clear researched proposal that at least passes a business sniff test and gets all levels of government on the same page.

We don't need to slap something together and then rush and force people to vote,
