As for Bobrovsky foregoing free agency to sign with Calgary for less than he currently makes? I don't know, maybe insurance? He isn't 25 anymore and if a long-term deal is on the table, it might not be the worst option... or maybe he isn't getting that type of deal from other teams...
or maybe he wants to play in Calgary because he enjoys the Stampede... or maybe he wants to play for a Canadian market... or maybe it just makes sense for his family... or maybe the Flames can convince him to sign on...
