Your comparing a backup goaltender to a forward, the numbers don't mean the same thing. Straw man fallacy.
Also, the fact that he found Rittich does not take away the albatross that the Brouwer signing and buyout, along with the Neal and Ryan deals are looking like they are turning into.
There is so much homer-ism on this forum it makes me chuckle. I laugh every time I go and read the "Vancouver and Edmonton are no good" threads.
It's just a bunch of upset Flames fans projecting how disheartened they are with their own team on other rivals. (Not taking away the fact that those two franchises are equally, actually probably worse then the Flames.)
But still, let's not kid ourselves. The Flames are a franchise of mediocrity and let downs. If the 04 run never happened, who knows where this team would be. Tre has had the reins for 5 years now and he's failed flat out and this season isn't looking any better. The only improvement is of our core pieces that were already in place improving as players.
