Those are you two big UFA signings of this off season. If that doesn't call for scrutiny of Treliving what does? Not to mention Brouwer was bought out so we could sign Neal, which effectively adds another 1.5M onto his cap hit, so 7.25M total for Neal.
Treliving was basically given lay of the land of this team by ownership to make them a cup contender, and after nearly a quarter through the season it's been a failure. I said this when everyone was riding high a week ago and I'll say it again, Flames will NEVER win a cup with this roster. If they do, I will eat my hat.

Do we also give Treliving praise for having Rittich, a top 5 goalie in the league at the steal of a deal he's currently on? Absolutely not. New coach, new organization and system.
