When he was directly responsible for the sequence that lead to the icing, then lost the draw, then lost the man who scored the goal, that’s pretty blatant.
Missing a wide open net. Blatant.
Lazily sticking his stick out because he’s too lazy to take two strides, in the other teams face off circle, and causes a PP and GWG against, that’s blatant.
This will be the “pile on Mike Smith” thread, but if Peters is counting on Backlund and giving him responsibility to play 1/3 of the game worth of ice time, he can’t be constantly thrown out there if he’s intimidated or scared or whatever, to directly lead to the situations which let his teammates down and resulted in the situation that lead to the last 2 goals ina 3 -2 game... and should certainly not be continued to be thrown out there by the coaches once making those mistakes.
