I think most of us were saying Lindholm brings more to the table than Ferland in the summer. Better on draws, better two way player, PK presence ... and hopefully he holds serve on the offence and/or is a better fit for the top line.
So all is true to date, plus in the early going he's exploded. If the explosion is sustained and the Flames have gained another elite player (his production through 15 games is elite) than they've really done a great job in fixing the forwards, adding a good young defenseman, avoiding UFA issues, and locking up two core pieces in the place of one.
