To be fair there was a couple season there, during the Clifton to Bakthari transition were LT was a big problem for them but overall I agree the line hasn't been the issue. That's probably the only spot where Thompson consistantly got it right (Bakhtari, Taylor, Linsley, Tretter, Buluga, Sitton, Lang) all drafted under his watch.
Packers have let down Rodgers, mostly Thompson with his staunch draft and develop strategy and refusal to use any other means to improve his team despite OBVIOUS deficiencies, but bad luck and injuries have played a part too. The Seattle Loss in the NFC championship game probably doesn't happen with a healthy Rodgers, or a stupid play by a 3rd string TE, and the year prior I think they beat SF if Rodgers doesn't miss so much time with the collarbone.
Personally I view the Clinton dix trade as a sign they are moving forward, not stuck in their old ways but I also see its a polarizing trade. Clinton Dix is to the Packers and Packer fans, what TJ Brodie is to most Flames fans.
