We are still two weeks out and most people aren’t following the live tweets of the bid. So this chaos we see won’t be seen by the general public. Coming out of this the yes messaging will be we have secured federal and provincial funding for the bid and were able with more detailed analysis to cut scope from the project to reduce the cost and we are able to get all events hosted internally.
So for 500 million you get A field house, McMahon, a bunch of other facility upgrades, and thousands of units of affordable housing.
This chaos you see will be quickly forgotten. This passes or fails on the same basis it always has. If a new flames arena is announced next week this will pass. If not it won’t. I don’t think that has changed throughout this process.
