To be fair to Dellow he didn't really state it as much that Hamilton was carrying Gio - but more that Hamilton was better than Brodie so the pairing as a whole looked better and maybe Gio wasn't carrying as much of the load. The exact tweet was:

I'll be honest that I was a bit concerned too that maybe that pairing that was carried by Gio for the first year or so they were together had actually become more of an equal pairing between Gio and Hamilton by the end of last year.
Very happy to say that any evidence of that being remotely the case is 100% gone.
