Bull. The people that are turning away do so because of dog whistle language that appeals to their inner darkness. It is amazing what you can get people to do when you appeal to their fears and activate their emotions and deep-seeded biases. And calling them stupid and uneducated also incites them. There are ways to have a conversation with people and get your point across. That is not one of them.
