I know they will say they blew the whistle because the puck was on the net but I don't think they even knew where it was and when a Flame picked it out and started skating down the ice they blew the whistle because the Leafs weren't paying attention.

I suspect that is exactly what they would say. But I’d love to know exactly when the whistle was blown. If it’s blown when the puck is in the netting or the ref loses sight of it, OK. A little premature but I can live with it. But seems like it was blown well after that.
