7th seed Anaheim did something pretty similar the year before, beating Detroit (2nd) and Dallas (1st) before they met 6th seed Minnie in the WCF.
But back to '04, the Wings had Datsyuk, Hull, Yzerman, Shanahan, Lidstrom, Zetterberg, Chelios, Draper (who won the Selke), Cujo and a bunch of really good supporting guys.
The Canucks had Naslund, Bertuzzi, Morrison, the twins, Linden, Ohlund, Salo, Sopel, Jovo (terrible goaltending though).
SJ had Marleau, Cheecho (in his good year), Sturm, Ekman, Hannan, Stuart, Thornton, two pretty decent goalies, and an overall well rounded team.
