To each his own, but between Feb 21st, 2017 (the date he was promoted from fourth line duties to pseudo-first line) and Feb 15th, 2018(the date he was injured) Ferland put up:

If you don't subscribe to the opinion that his injury, for which he even missed some time, affected his play, that's fair, but 27 goals in a 78 game span is very close to what I would personally refer to as "on the cusp of being a 30 goal scorer". Especially since his power play scoring over that stretch was still limited by ice time, role, and Dave Cameron. Was it all one sexy season? No, but it was still the only 78 consecutive RS games during which he was both healthy and not playing a fourth line role.
