That may be the case, but teams have pro scouts who have been watching Brodie's play the last couple years. Any trade partner knows what they'll be getting in him, and the return will be assessed accordingly. And the Flames need a longer look to see what they have in Valimaki and Anderson before moving out Brodie. So if he is dealt, most likely it happens in the off-season, or maybe at the deadline.
