I did not watch the game but judging from the PGT (and Flames Twitter), Rittich stood on his head tonight.

I can't help but think of all the skepticism during the preseason -- yes he struggled, but this is the same guy that was lights out virtually every time he got pressed into duty last year until Smith got hurt.

This year: 2 wins in 2 starts, which is exactly what you want from a backup. The rest is just gravy: 1.30 GAA, 0.962 save%.
