i have read that a package of cigarettes cost less than $2 to produce and sell....yet you go to the store and they exceed $12. We all know the same goes for booze. I expect no less in concern to another controlled substance...why would it be different?
The black market on tobacco has never been as large as it is today, and with an existing industry already established in regards to weed, there will be very little effect on it IMO unless prices are comparable.

How many people do you know who buy black market cigarettes? Or booze?
It costs what it costs, and what you're paying for is the safety and security of buying a regulated product from a store.
If it's 8, 9, 10 bucks a gram, whatever. Buy 10g, that'll do most people for months.
I've had a medical card for over a year, so the novelty of 'legal' weed has sorta worn off for me - now that it's legal across the board, it feels like one more thing you can enjoy but shouldn't do too much of.
