Outside of Def Leppard even though I didn't listen to them as much at the time I grew to appreciate The Cure. Radiohead is deserving as well IMO even if I consider them overrated. I like Rage Against the Machine but maybe too early for them. Some of these nominees are a joke for sure.

If they were being true to the idea of a rock hall of fame, I agree a lot of the nominees are a joke.
John Prine is a good example. I love the guy and he's a great songwriter, but a nominee for the rock hall of fame? no.
MC5 to me is a band that has a bigger reputation than is deserved. more hype and more of being political activists than a good band.
I'd put them in the garage band hall of fame. but then hey what do I know? I think Roxy Music is worthy and most people I know think they were a nothing band. more cited for their "influence" than actual accomplishments, juts like MC5.
