Well outside of a few single play and situation breakdowns early in the third, he’s right. Flip the script, and at what points did you ever feel Vancouver had total control over the Flames?

Broadcasts and broadcasters have a subtle effect on the game too. A few situations where there were good chances at both ends between whistles, and each time it was the Canucks replay shown, not the Flames.

And Dave Randorf is from BC and was a radio host for th Canucks 20 years back too, and thst bias has always been there. His fawning over Pettersen, (whose accomplishments include being gifted a 2 on 1 and had a good shot, and having a blocked shot land at his feet to make a 3 ft las to a wide open teammate, was hyperbolized greatly) something which all broadcasts do when they get a story and can milk it and keep coming back to it the entire game, slanted things definitely toward Vancouver in the audio department too, sometimes missing calls on legit Flames chances. And it was in Vancouver, so I expect some bias to play to those fans, there as there may be some with Calgary’s home opener tonight.

But you listen to all these things and see Vancouver only replays on Wed., and you get an idea that they had more run of the play in general then they did, when it was desperation time for 16 minutes in the third, and overall more controlling play by the Flames through the second and half of the first.
