It’s amazing to me how many people on this board are denouncing fighting yet were likely supporters of having Engelland in the game just in case some rough stuff was needed. When McGrattan was in the line-up the whole team played 6” taller and 20 pounds heavier even though he only played 5 minutes. Some would argue a wasted 5 minutes, and no doubt that specific role of a fighter is gone but who on this roster is capable of providing a deterrent and is capable of fighting if necessary?
I agree, make them pay on the scoreboard but surely you would recognize that intimidation is still an important part of the game and that beating them in the alley isn’t the mutually exclusive alternative.

I agree..and even worse than this one game... every team in the league saw what happened in game one. The flames are going to get bullied all year if they don't push back. And despite ppl losing their minds... dressing one fighter out of 20 players is a pretty minimal performance impact.
