That's actually not on Valimaki IMO - everyone else was in position to cover him. He missed the puck on the pinch but it wasn't a bad decision to pinch.
Valimaki pinches low but Frolik was in a good position to cover him at the point, the play goes south when Frolik then decides to squeeze up on Erikkson who is trying to exit the zone.
Also the real problem was that Janko gets tied up with Pouliot and falls down when they are leaving the offensive zone which allows Pouliot to skate freely up the ice, and that is why it becomes a 2-1.
