Good for Kulak, but I feel we should have gotten more from Montreal for him. We had a few organizational needs (draft picks, back up goaltending) that neither of the players coming back address.

Kulak alone doesn't get it done, but maybe bundled with other assets.

What's that saying about the team that gives up the best player loses the trade? Kulak was the best player in this transaction.

Anyway, wish Kulak the best of luck on his new team. He wasn't spectacular, but I liked his play last year as a #6D. Knew when to jump in on a rush, and got back into position promptly. There was a potential ceiling of a middle pairing D in his future.
