Gillies would be the backup in the NHL, and Parsons would be the starter in Stockton.
It wouldn't be smart to have a goalie tandem that averages 36 years old.
At this point, the backup spot should be used as a development role.
If Gillies fails? Then call Parsons up. Still no need to Lehtonen under and circumstances that I can see.

This is a reasonable possibility, but I still don't see that Gillies is clearly a better choice to start in Calgary than Rittich. Does his marginally better preseason completely overwrite Rittich's 2017–18 NHL season performance? I doubt very much that any NHL coach would think so. People are putting way too much stock in goalie performances in the preseason.
