Was at the game tonight. Will try and mention things that haven't been mentioned already.
- Lindholm was retrieving pucks all night. He's like the catcher to Johnny's pitcher (and Monny's batter)
- Neal looked slow out there and had no chemistry with his linemates.
- I had no idea how fricking *huge* Neal is. Big big body.
- That second PP unit has no idea how to enter the zone. Ryan short chipping it to Czar while Neal looks lost is not going to cut it
- Bennett and Jankowski looked like they finally had a winger that could *add* something and I think it helped both
- Bennett will never be a top line player, probably not even second line, but his play without the puck has come leaps and bounds. He knew where he was supposed to be on the ice and made smart little plays you normally don't notice. He also made better use of his line mates than last year, and didn't even fall over once.
- Dube is effective because he knows what's going to happen on the ice and makes the right decision. He's going to be a fan favorite for a long time.
- Dube may not be used to what it's like to play against physical NHL defensemen. He looked a bit rattled after a couple hits. There's nothing wrong with him getting up to speed against men in the AHL.
- Valimaki is going to be a can't miss top 4 defensemen in this league for a long time. But he was playing sheltered minutes, and still tries to do too much. Granted he got much better at simplifying as the game went along. Spending time being the top pairing D in AHL would be good for his development
