I think some of the salaries being discussed here are a little on the low side for some of the personalities. If I had to guess for local and national guys it's as follows.

Fan 960 Morning Show guys like Boomer and Pinder (when he was morning show) $80k with some added cash coming from live events and other perks with good value (tickets, cars, merchandise etc)

Boomer has joked that Warrener works like 20% of the hours but makes double the salary of the other guys. This leads me to believe he is probably $150k a year. He used to be part time and than became full time with lots of vacation time. Million dollar athletes probably don't roll out of bed at 5 am for $60k a year. $150k with benefits seems like a reasonable income to take care of enough expenses that its worth it without a lot of sacrifice.

Top guys like McKenzie at TSN, Friendman at HNIC and Sportsnet are well into the $1 million range. They do lots of tv, radio, media, podcast and writing for their networks.

Guys like Ron McLean probably were able to get a nice little boost when the Strombo experiment went south and he added hosting duties again. He might be $1.5- $2 mil since he is so loved and known and plays into the brand for both sponsors and Rogers.

I think a guy like Don Cherry probably had a paycut from the new Rogers deal as his utilization during the regular season and playoffs is lower. Either they told him we pay you less for less work or he said I am willing to do X amount of shows a year in return for X dollars. He might be in the $600k a year range now. I don't see a company like Rogers throwing a million bucks to a guy who talks once a week for 5 minutes and rubs a LOT of viewers the wrong way in 2018. I love him like no other but some of his gig doesn't SOUND good in 2018 with SOME people with the comments about race, nationality, support the troops, Jesus at Christmas and Easter etc. Like I said, I love him!

Here is a link from 2007 that highlights some salaries that I just came across!
