Klimchuk is a smart two-way hockey player who finished second on the AHL team in scoring last season while being a former first-round pick. He played well in the preseason and came up big in critical moments at times.
Peluso fits exactly zero of those criteria. He's an absolutely terrible hockey player who belongs nowhere near an nHL roster. His career high in AHL points is 11. Emile Poirier scored nearly three times as many points as he did last season and can barely crack an AHL roster. It's absolutely embarrassing that Peluso is still under consideration to make this hockey team and he should never, ever play in a regular role for the Flames, especially over skilled guys who have worked for years to hone their skills and who have actually found success at lower levels.
