The Burton Batman was far more important. Superhero movies mostly weren't a thing back then, other than Superman which had given up years earlier. Burton's Batman was a phenomenon that normalized the idea that a comic book movie could be enjoyed by everyone.

Batman begins was just a reboot, in the middle of many comic book movies. It's my favourite of the Nolan ones, but Burton's Batman was far more important at the time.
