I think sometimes people associate too much value with draft picks. For every Bergeron, Weber, Lucic etc in the 2nd round, there are thirty-fold players like Mitch Moroz, Marco Roy, and Robbie Schremp.

Yes, but was he any better than something the Flames already had in the system at the time? No. Is he an NHL player on a playoff team? No.
It's not the end of the world, but I would have rather the Flames used that pick themselves as a trade chip or actually select their own player to develop or crash and burn instead of giving the Senators a free pass on that bust.
