It's the perfect storm.
They both got gifted first overall picks (Edmonton many, but one that mattered) so they feel the need to poke at each other. Add in Toronto's over hyped sense of self worth right now and the Oilers misery last season and it plays out as damn fun to watch.
But the Rattie / Dube thing is really a good example of how different the city's can be (caveat, not all Oiler fans think Rattie is the man). We have a wait and see Dube discussion with some fans excited, and others taking a wait and see. They have guys taking Rattie ahead of Gaudreau in hockey pools.
