Dansk and Gillies are the same age and were taken in the same draft- one round apart- in 2012. Draft pedigree really means nothing here. Gillies is a bigger body and has more AHL experience. Sure, Dansk looked good in his brief NHL stint, but all of the Vegas goalies looked like world beaters last year behind that team.
I think they are close, but I don't see a clear upgrade at all.
