The last time I was in a similar situation, I got some "words of wisdom" from a veteran of the Calgary boom&bust economy:
- Force yourself to get out of the house: go for a walk, meetup with friends or colleagues for coffee, etc.
- Do something physical everyday; workout or a run or hike or...this keeps your brain going and avoids the depressive cycle
- Breathe and take time to enjoy the fact that you don't have to be in the daily grind
