I think you both missed the point.. Clearly what he needs to do is go to the local metal scrap yard with the family and pick out a lovely festivus pole. lol
I am sure your kids would love the whole go out and cut the tree thing.. out here in NB there is a place we used to go that took you out into the woods on a horse and sleigh and gave you cider etc. it is great.
