Well this DI rating was discussed at large during the trade talks. Both parties are well aware that it will likely be adjusted come offseason since Tyutin is a defenceman with 20 Pim in 30 games. Thats really a low total given his position and how much ice he does get.

But the DI isn't the reason I traded him, as I think GM's really over rate some of these fine details. He's a good defenceman, but I needed one more horse to put in my top 4 and Rafalski can be that for me. Tyutin thus far is putting up similar numbers to last year and has a negative +/- rating so if he continues to play at this pace his rating won't rise dramatically. Rafalski has put up a fair amount of points but does have a low +/-. But I think New Jersey is a slow starting team and guys like Rafalski and Elias are starting to get it together as the season wears on. By the end of the year I think Rafalski will have good enough numbers to justify his current rating. Huselius has decent numbers, but 18 points in 28 games projects to about 50 points which is okay, but not outstanding, so I can't see his rating moving up more than a point. Wright probably will be forced out of the league....so yeah, I'll feel that one and hate myself for this trade next year LOL. But what the hell it's not next year yet!
