Not off the mark and not driven by an agenda any more than the opposite point of view. It just doesn't comply with the narrative this site is trying to drive. Kind of like trying to defend the dogpile. I get crapped all over for my long 649 word post providing my views of the game, and supporting my particular opinion. It's bad because it doesn't comply with the consensus belief. Meanwhile a 404 word post by Florida Panther's Fan, and a 449 word post by Calgary4Life are pretty much completely ignored and not labeled as agenda filled, because they comply with the belief of the popular kids. The last thing people want to hear, and which is terrifying, is this team looks the same as last season. God forbid anyone would suggest there were not massive improvements, especially when playing against a team that is icing a depleted lineup.

I will agree with you on one point, people look for what they want to see. Some people went looking for a faster team, and they decided they saw that. Some people went looking for an increased skill level, and they decided they saw that. I wanted to see a much different approach to the game, and I didn't see it. I wanted to see a much different approach by a number of players, and I didn't see it. I placed the performance in the context of who they were playing against, and I didn't see what I was looking for. So excuse me for having a different opinion. Doesn't make me any less of a fan than anyone else, I was just looking for something else that didn't materialize to my hopes and expectations.

Hey, don't drag us into this. If we've built up some sort of credibility over the years with well thought out and relatively objective posts, don't be pissed about the idea that our views are challenged less than yours. People challenging you has nothing to do with how anyone else posts on this site, full stop.
