I would not call what Bob said validation. It was actually a harsh criticism of Edmonton’s no goodness. Edmonton media have preferred to take a small chunk of the whole quote out of context because they’re delirious as usual.

Nowhere does he say he thinks it’s criminal they don’t make it or that they should. He says “most people”. He’s lamenting the fact they’re so goddamn incompetent that they can’t find anyone talented unless it’s a gift from the lotto balls.
