While I agree that he should have been shut down, how do you know that he didn’t keep this hidden from the staff? I’m sure he has a lot of pride and he more than likely knew that his team needed him putting the puck in the net if they had any shot at making the playoffs. Sure, in the big picture he should have taken himself out and got this taken care of earlier but id imagine he really wanted to keep contributing and help his team get into the playoffs

possible, but then it's stupid on his behalf. The kid is 23 and has a long time left in his career, hiding injuries from the team and further ruining his wrists doesn't help anybody.
