He had the surgery last year. In-between then and now, Karlsson had 62 points.
Looks like he's fine. He's Erik Karlsson. He's already come back from a severed Achilles and lost part of his foot. And he's still one of the absolute best in the world at what he does.
And he does all of this for the Senators, where he has no help. "OH, is Karlsson going to be able to handle the loss of Marc Methot????" That guy who had 3 points in 36 games with the Stars?
Methinks yes.
You could play Karlsson, Burns and Vlasic 20 minutes a night each, reduce the wear and tear on all three to 2nd pairing levels, and never have a moment in the entire game when one of them isn't on the ice.
