Fair enough. Didn't mean to imply that all people who dislike Druh also hate the Peace Bridge, just that she has put herself out there and often for the betterment of the city. The Peace Bridge is a great example of that — something that she championed (at significant risk to her political career) that has benefited all Calgarians.
IMO she gets it right more often than not, but I'm not saying she's perfect. There are a lot of Druh haters out there, but her constituents seem to be happy with the work she's doing. To say that voting for Druh is the same as voting for the NDP in BC strikes me as disrespectful to the people who live in the inner city. We may have different priorities, but that doesn't make us any less Calgarian.
I don't really want to get into the fluoride debate because I agree with you, but if I recall correctly, her rationale was that it should be a provincial responsibility (which is both reasonable and true, although a touch idealistic).
