Frankly I think it's probably really important to build the brand recognition off the bat so TV exposure should be prioritized.

Hockey is mostly irrelevant since the seasons barely overlap. As far as Baseball goes, TSN has a ton of games as well. And the CFL. And men's tennis.
Neither network has any great need to broadcast the CPL, but the league really needs to find away to get some games on TV. Even if it goes the CHL route and puts games on Shaw or Rogers TV.
