Maybe the whole thing was just a ruse by both the Hoffman's and karlsson's so they could all get out of Ottawa?
Seriously though, a lack of evidence dosen't prove innocence, it's merely unable to prove guilt. I just think that there are so many ways for wealthy Melinda Karlsson to go after Caryk other then to take out a peace bond, months before it was ever reported in the news....why would she decide to go that route? And if she was trying to destroy her in the media, why not leak the peace bond thing quicker then 2 months later? And if Melinda ended up concocting this whole thing, and going through this whole process in the most round about way ever, to damage Hoffman's fiancee..... Woah.... Do not piss off Melinda Karlsson. That's a super villian level of planning and manipulation.
