Edmonton Oilers contacted James Neal first and were told Neal had no interest in signing with them
The Oilers proposed a contract that would have paid Neal about $4 million dollars more over the length of the contract. Neal quickly let them know he wasn't interested in signing with them.
It's a slow summer and while I've known this info for a while thought I'd share it for a good long weekend laugh.
